The founders of Black Sun, Simon Healy and Dale Pillars, have been working online since early 1994.

Simon Healy is a web developer, copywriter, online marketer, editor and international aid worker. He has been working on the Internet since 1994, and is currently the CEO of an award winning charity called www.OrphanIT.org. He is also the managing partner of Black Sun Web Design.

Dale Pillars is a web designer and developer and also works in the aid development field with Simon.  He has been working on the Internet since 1993, and is currently the COO of www.OrphanIT.org. Dale is also a managing partner of Black Sun Web Design.
